A selection of works from prisons across Australia. Our theme for 2023 was Amazing Grace…

It is the gift of my family that visit me, that keeps me going when times of incarceration are hard on us all.
It is the gift of scent that god has given most of us and this painting is a reminder to me that some things can never be taken from us.
The love of two sea-horses under lock and key with 4 turtles looking upon them with the Rainbow serpent as our creator of our water ways.
Jesus crucifixion for our sins and resurrection and his endless grace and love to those who think they don’t deserve it.
The Star brings Hope and a light to my path.
Prayer
When you are at your lowest you can pray with hope that the Angels are listening and supporting your faith.
New beginnings, how we all deserve a second chance, when sometimes we feel like we don’t.
Amazing Grace. Forgiveness we all want forgiveness in our lives and god forgives
God has a plan for us ALL. A hard day’s work in the outback being led home by faithful friends. Time can be hard behind bars and believing Gods plan we know we too will be home one day regardless of the boundaries that we face.

Like the horse who is determined to stay on track with guidance. Life is the gift from God that we need to celebrate and keep on track with. It is a gift.
The Hawk a bird of prey, looking over me behind bars. I am in awe of its beauty and strength.
The world is a colourful and beautiful place.
Behind the bars and razor wire, chained to the routines of the day. I can escape the clown show knowing the love of my brother is always there. My dog keeps me strong.
Boxed in a cage, jailed grey, colourless and razor-wired. I am colour, I see the Grace of God. I will not lose the artist inside of me. I will be free. Tearing the greens from within the bars.
Your days can be tough behind bars. Take time to look beyond into the sunset of the day of God’s gift of life across the paddock.
I had a very close encounter with death, I was saved that day by an angel and God looking over me, now everyday I get triggered, I say a little prayer to god in my head to help give me the strength to heal and get through it.
Hoping to bring peace to the world.

Through the darkness of life my cat Grace made me pull through and see the light. Without Grace there would be no me.
The corners represent the four elements and the centre represents the fifth element being grace.
For me this artwork shows/represents a moment in time, I was at my lowest and if you look into the artwork you can see a smiley face, crying, a single drop of blood teardrop as well as the words “God Help Me!” painted in with my finger. This artwork can relate back to many moments of my life in a few different ways.
Not all of it does relate, I’m not the best artist but I did add a cross to represent God and how Jesus sacrificed himself for us and life.
As Amazing Grace was originally written about slavery, this piece shows how our work is never truly finished due to the restraints of life.
My artwork links to Amazing Grace by being saved through faith during hard times. The drawing is myself finding faith.
My artwork relates to the theme in every way as it is by his grace I am able to paint and create every day. It is by his grace that I finally found what I will love to do for the rest of my life and will not go astray.

God has given me the capability to draw and then he makes me realize it at the time when I ask myself a question what am I gonna do with my life. I wish I had asked him this outside the prison but I am happy with his amazing grace
This painting is the guardian angel from heaven.
My late grandmother’s name was Grace. She was small in stature and amazing. I dedicate this small but amazing trinket box to her.
The snake shows why the car is called a Cobra. Both pictures drewn with DERWENT colourse pencils, some of the black and white is gel pen.
This drawing relates to the theme as it reveals how carrying our own cross can deliver us from evil, by God’s grace.
Popeye represents a vintage cartoon that no longer plays on TV but he is a symbol of the past and strength.
God’s amazing grace has blessed me with my ex wife as my friend and our beautiful grand-daughter.
This is a meaning of love and grace in my culture showing love is amazing and affection.
God’s Grace will endure through the love of mother and child.
